Engagement Session | Hayley + Nicholas
I met with Hayley and Nicholas for their engagement session at Fourteen Eighteen Coffee in Downtown Plano. The two of them had already gotten drinks and were chatting about what their evening would look like.
After taking some pictures outside the coffee shop, we walked around the surrounding areas. During our time doing their engagement session, they told me about how two of them went on their first date in the Downtown area and even got engaged under the pavilion at the park. As we walked around they receated or reinacted for that matter, their first date. As we walked around all of the spots that mean the most to them, I was able to document the special love these two share for each other. They are such sweet individuals and pair together like two peas in a pod.
When we first met up, I asked how comfortable they were with kissing in public and to which they replied that that wasn’t something they had done. During the session, I had the wonderful honor of being there with them to document the first time they had done so publicly. It was such an honor to be trusted to document something so intimate and personal. I never want to do anything or encourage anything someone doesn’t feel comfortable with so I was going to leave it alone but these two did it all on their own and it was so cute!
At the end of the evening, they found a picnic bench in the park and played scrabble. Hayley and Nicholas love playing board games and scrabble is one they play frequently. When you schedule an engagement session, I think it’s super important to bring things that are symbolic to your relationship or choose a location that has great meaning to your partnership. These two hit the hammer right on the nail with the location and scrabble game.
