In September, a styled shoot brought together some of the most talented vendors in the DFW area. The goal of the shoot was to capture timeless, elegant imagery with a touch of whimsy, highlighting the natural beauty of the Trinity River Audubon Center.

Creative Direction and Nature-Inspired Florals

The main creative idea for this shoot came from Secret Life of Florals. Lizzy dreamed up a centerpiece arrangement designed to make it feel like the outside was coming inside. The florals and grasses used are all natural to the area, so they could literally be found outside the venue. In her words: "For this shoot, we decided to bring the outside in. The Trinity River Audubon Center is such a modern, sleek building that co-exists with a wilderness just past its doors as part of its mission as a nature preserve. We were very drawn to that contrast and wanted to create a barely contained version of what lay just outside using grasses, sunflowers, and smokebush and more."

Their arrangements added both color and texture, perfectly complementing the natural surroundings of the Audubon Center.

Venue and Event Rentals at Trinity River Audubon Center

The shoot took place at the Trinity River Audubon Center, an idyllic venue surrounded by lush greenery and open skies. Boxwood Hospitality handled the coordination for the day, ensuring every element was seamlessly executed.

Rentals for the shoot were provided by Royal Event Rentals DFW, giving beautifully curated tablescapes and lounge setups that enhanced the overall aesthetic.

Attire and Beauty Looks for Styled Shoot

Our model, Audrey Rutherford, wore a stunning gown by Elizabeth Leese Bridal. The dress was timeless and romantic, perfectly matching the whimsical theme of the shoot. Hair and makeup were styled by Wendy Zerrudo Beauty, creating a soft, natural look that complemented the dress and the outdoor setting.
