Wedding at Bear Creek Park | Chyanne + Logan
Some wedding days feel like a big production. Others feel like home. Chyanne and Logan’s wedding was the second kind. Relaxed, heartfelt, and centered around family, fun, and being fully present with the people who matter most.
On June 7th, I photographed their wedding beginning at Bear Creek Park in Keller, Texas, followed by a backyard reception at their home in Watauga. The entire day felt effortless and deeply personal, proving that a meaningful wedding does not need to be complicated.
A Bear Creek Park Wedding Ceremony in Keller, Texas
Their ceremony took place at Bear Creek Park, surrounded by greenery and familiar faces. Chyanne chose a classic, traditional white wedding dress, leaning into a timeless look for the day.
Their children walked down the aisle first, with their daughter as the flower girl and their son as the ring bearer. After they made their way down, Chyanne walked the aisle alone. It was a quiet, confident moment that felt intentional and true to her.
While they shared a traditional aisle moment, the seating itself told a quieter story. Family was not divided into sides. Guests were dispersed naturally, reflecting the way their relationships already exist without labels or separation.
One of the most meaningful parts of the ceremony was the officiant. Logan’s mother led the ceremony, grounding the moment in family rather than formality and making it feel deeply personal.
A Surprise Proposal After the Ceremony
Immediately after the ceremony, Chyanne gathered everyone together for what appeared to be a traditional bouquet toss. Instead of tossing it into the crowd, she turned around and handed the bouquet directly to her sister. Moments later, her sister was proposed to. She said yes, of course.
It was emotional, unexpected, and a joyful way to move from ceremony into celebration.
A Backyard Wedding Reception in Watauga, Texas
After the ceremony, everyone headed back to Chyanne and Logan’s home for a backyard reception that felt more like a family gathering than a formal event, in the best way.
Tents were set up for a seated dinner of hot dogs and hamburgers. Conversation flowed easily, shots were shared with family, kids played football in the yard, and the evening unfolded without a strict timeline. The entire reception felt laid back, DIY, and deeply reflective of how this family lives and loves.
One of my favorite moments from the day happened simply and without intention. Chyanne was so nervous and excited that she accidentally put her boots on the wrong feet and did not realize until well into the backyard celebration. It was a perfectly human moment and a reminder that joy does not need polish to be meaningful.
Intimate Wedding Traditions and Private Moments
After dinner, guests moved inside to watch Chyanne and Logan cut their cake. Later in the evening, the two of them quietly slipped back outside for a private first dance. Tucked away from the crowd, it became a moment just for them in the middle of a lively and joyful night.
A Family Centered Wedding Photographed on 35mm Film
Chyanne and Logan’s wedding was photographed exclusively on 35mm film. The medium felt fitting for a day rooted in texture, nostalgia, and real moments, preserving the celebration with honesty and warmth.
This wedding was never about perfection or performance. It was about family, comfort, and celebrating love in a way that felt familiar and true. From the park ceremony to the backyard reception, every choice reflected who Chyanne and Logan are.
Weddings like this are a reminder that there is no single right way to get married. When a day feels true to you, it shows in every moment.
